You'll spend close to a week in the company of others, working to stage a show that's built all around you! You'll get unique insight and great practical tips from leaders who are specialists in their field.

So whether you're a violinist or a budding actress; whether you're an experienced jazz drummer, or just want to try your hand at something new; if you're serious about improving your ability, or simply want to spend time 'playing' alongside others, SHOWTIME offers a holiday like no other.

DRAMA

On-Stage: You'll find numerous opportunities in our drama stream to develop your talent... or discover a new one! You'll learn from leaders who teach or perform for a living, and enjoy working alongside them to stage our final day performance.

Off-Stage: You don't need to take centre stage to light-up the stage! In the company of our great team of specialist leaders you'll get hands-on access to professional equipment. You'll have an unrivalled opportunity to man the lighting desk, build the set, apply the make-up, or prompt the cast when they fluff their lines! Whatever you choose, you'll improve your skills, learn new ones, and have heaps of dramatic fun! [Sorry! all spaces for our 'Tech' stream are now fully subscribed]

MUSIC

Instrumentalists: Spanish guitar, rock bass, or classical cello, we'll pull all the right strings! Whatever your chosen instrument (and of course that extends to non-stringed ones too!) you'll benefit from the experience of playing in one or more bands; learn from professional musicians/teachers, and have oodles of fun in the process!

Singers: Fancy your chances on 'The X Factor'? Then why wait? Come and see if you have the XL Factor instead! Whether you'd rather sing in a gospel choir, form a girl band with your new-made friends, or front a rock group, we've got the people, the gear and the will to make it happen.

"Techies":  Help keep the lead guitarist in check and take control of the mixing desk! You'll learn some of the basic principles at the heart of good sound mixing, and get an awesome feeling of power too! [Sorry! all spaces for our 'Tech' stream are now fully subscribed]

We are thrilled to have John Newton Webb back with us at Showtime 08 to work with our drama stream.

Formerly a member of Riding Lights, the UK's premier professional Christian theatre troup, John now fronts The Ever After Theatre Company. As well as offering a wide range of workshops for schools and churches, John is currently touring the UK with his sensational one man show, "Hudson Taylor". Do check out his web site here, and then book yourself in to go along and see him in action.
