Each year, thousands of Christians give up a week of precious annual leave to help out on Camp. Why? Because they have discovered it to be a rewarding experience that offers as much as (or even more) to them than it does to the teens alongside whom they work and play. Time and again new leaders return from an admittedly exhausting week, bold-over by having seen God work through them in ways they had never imagined. It's true! But don't take our word for it, come see for yourself!

What exactly am I volunteering to do?
You're offering to give up roughly a week of your own time to spend it directly or indirectly sharing the great news of Jesus with teens who have never heard it before, or to encourage and further challenge those who have. There are lots of jobs that need doing. For the most part, volunteers sign-up first - and offer to help wherever the need may be. Naturally, we will do our best to find a role for you to suit your skillset, so whether you are more at home in the kitchen, strumming a guitar, serving as a pool life-guard, or delivering Bible talks, there is certain to be a way in which you can make a valuable contribution. Some roles will require a fair amount of Bible-study leading; others will require none. Some will mean you spend just about every conscious hour of the day working and playing alongside teenagers; others will mean you barely see them! In short, don't ask "What will I be doing?", rather, ask "How can I help?"

That's easy: You! There are literally dozens of roles to be played, and with no previous experience necessary, and no particular aptitude sought, there's no reason not to get involved. Whether you are in your late teens, or your late 70s; whether you're a bold extravert at ease leading a group of 50, or the retiring sort who would rather work in the background - we want you, and need you! But, you will need to be at least 18, a professing Christian, and able to fully endorse our Statement of Faith. You'll need to submit to a Criminal Records Bureau search and provide at least two independent character references who can attest to your spiritual commitment.

What else do you expect of me?
We expect you, once signed-up, to commit yourself not only to working hard "as unto the Lord", but also to be faithful in praying for the camp on which you serve, and the youngsters who will be attending. At an operational level, you'll be expected to attend at least one training session, and to pay at the very least for the cost of your meals. Wherever possible, we will ask you to attempt to supplement this with a further contribution such that all people attending the Holiday - teenagers and leaders alike - pay the same fee. We will help you in this, and want you to remember that it is YOU we want more than your money!

How can I find out more, or sign up to help?
If you'd like to find out more, just call us! We're passionate about what we do and would love to chat with you. But if you've heard enough, and are ready to offer your time (along with your blood, sweat and tears!), download the application form, fill it in, and post it off to us.
You'll be glad you did - and so of course will we!
