CARE! Too much fun can be dangeorous!

What could be better than for dads to spend quality time with their children? Camping in Creation and learning about Jesus together.

We’re inviting dads and their children to spend the weekend with us camping in our amazing grounds… running through the woods, building fires, paddling canoes and rafts on the lake, eating great food - this is dangerous camping*

Dads, this is an opportunity to enjoy spending time with your children - time that is so often time squeezed out by competing demands. So we have set out to make this as productive and fun as possible:

You’ll need to bring your own tents, sleeping bags and mats - this is 'proper' camping after all! - but you won't need to worry about bringing any food, cooking it, or any washing up. Just leave that to us, and you focus on the kids!

You'll also have access to the showering and changing facilities in the manor house, as well as the games room and other indoor lounges.

On top of all that there’s chances to discover more of Jesus together.What more could you want?

*It’s not really dangerous. We call it that because it sounds pretty edgy! That and the fact that our good friends at Faith In Kids came up with the idea, the name, and some of the programme ideas and resources

Dangerous Camping runs at Gaines Manor - Camp XL's fabulous Georgian manor house in the heart of the English countryside on the Worcester/Hereford border.

Bring your own tent, and make use of our showers and other indoor facilities. The manor also has lots of recreational facilities - indoor and out - and several acres of grounds to enjoy.

If coming by train, you'll need to get yourself to either of Worcester's two mainline rail stations: "Worcester Shrub Hill" or "Worcester Foregate Street". Let us know what train you're on, and we'll send one of our team to pick you up for the 10 mile drive out to the countryside where our manor house sits.
