Down on the beach!
Whether you’re looking for a dedicated surfing camp, or a multi-activity camp with a strong beach focus, we just know you're going to love "The Beach"!
On and around the fabulous sandy beaches at Croyde in North Devon we'll be laying on a mix of activities both in the surf and on the land. The surfer dudes among you will want to spend as much time as possible riding the waves, and that's just fine by us. We'll give you that option on most of our activity sessions, subject of courde to weather and surf conditions. But if surfing is not your thing, or if you'd like to take a break from it one day and rest those aching muscles, then you'll find an alternative option on offer each day (like mountian biking or rock climbing).
Whatever you decide, you can count on plenty of time literally on the beach: Time to chill, and time for games, BBQs, music and lots of fun and laughter. Naturally, as with all Camp XL programmes, we'll take some time each day to investigate the claims of the Bible. You'll find these sessions fun, throught-provoking, and absolutely unpressured.

Ok, this bit is actually not on the beach!
We'll be staying a very short distance away in a wonderfully comfortable converted manor, where you'll sleep in single-sex dorms with around 4-8 others (most are fitted with bunk beds). Although we don't plan on spending much time in there, it's an excellent base from which to enjoy the activities on offer and at which to re-energize those tired muscles.
If coming by train, you'll need to get yourself to Barnstaple rail station. We will arrange to meet the service that arrives in Barnstaple at 15:27.
If you are coming from London or the South East, this will mean you need to be on the service that departs Paddington at 12:03, then change at Exeter St David’s on to the 14:19 service to Barnstaple. The Paddington service can also be joined at Reading (12:28) and Taunton (13:43).
On the final day, Saturday August 12, we can take you back to Barnstaple station in time to board the service thar departs at 10:35
